In order for us to understand your pets’ specific needs, Fun Fur U™ offers a complimentary “Meet & Greet” once you’ve approved the quote.During the Meet & Greet, we will discuss the best possible care for your pets and review the required forms you’ve completed. We will outline the entire pet-sitting process so you can make an informed decision about the best team to care for your pets.
Rates
A 30-minute pet care visit is $20.50, plus mileage and travel time. Whether we’re walking the dog, playing with the cats, scooping the litter box, or assisting your special needs pet, our base rate remains the same. Pet care visit length can be increased in 15-minute intervals to accommodate walks or to ensure all pets are cared for properly.Holiday Rates are an additional $10 per day as noted on our holiday calendar. Please book early to ensure your reservation for pet care is secure during the very busy holiday season.
Transport service rates include mileage and travel time plus our base session rate.Contract payments can be made with Venmo or Zelle, check or cash. New clients will be asked for a deposit of 50% of the contract amount (during the Meet & Greet) to secure the first reservation. Contract balance is due 24 hours before first session of Care.Rates are subject to change without notice.

We understand how nerve-wracking it can be to leave the care and safety of your fur babies in the hands of someone else. It is important to us that you are thoroughly comfortable with the Pet Sitters who will be coming to your home and caring for your precious family members.
Kimberly Maevers
As a self-proclaimed “Critter-Loving-Capitalist” Kimberly founded Fun Fur U™ in 2010 while she was in transition from her 14-year life in Colorado and moving back “home” to the Antelope Valley. Her career path up until then was in land development, affordable housing, homebuilding, and economic development so jumping into the world of Pet Care was a 180-degree turn from all she knew.She received her first Certified Professional Pet Sitter (CPPS) designation in 2010 and is now a three-time CPPS certificate holder. She is certified in Dog & Cat First Aid and CPR and is constantly pursuing further education and training for pet care related certifications and designations.Kimberly’s husband Mark is her business partner and reminds her to take time out for fun and golf as much as possible.
Catherine
Catherine joined the Fun Fur U™ team in 2014, making her our veteran, part-time team member! She writes, “My abiding love of animals has sustained me through all the trials and tribulations of life. As a child, my pets were cherished family members, providing unconditional love, devotion, and friendship. I’m grateful to be a part of the Fun Fur U™ team and to do something I’m passionate about while providing an invaluable service to our clients! In my spare time, I shower my sweet orange tabby, Poppy, with all the love he’ll tolerate.”Catherine’s professional career has spanned health care and education in a variety of roles. She currently serves as the Literacy Development Program Director for at-risk juveniles and young adults, but she cherishes her role as mom and grandma the most!
Kendal
A native of the Antelope Valley and a third-generation business executive for her family’s remodeling company, Kendal’s role as Design Manager keeps her very busy!In her spare time she enjoys sharing her passion for pets with her own four-legged family, as well as with the Fun Fur U™ clients, too. Kendal joined the Fun Fur U™ team in 2021 and has been a great addition for our post-pandemic growth.When Kendal isn’t working she enjoys time outdoors hiking and camping with her pup, Kitsune, friends and family.
Shelly
Shelly is our newest team member and joined Fun Fur U™ in 2023. She is a passionate pet lover and is extremely busy in the local cat rescue, foster and TNR (trap neuter return) efforts.Her professional expertise is in digital marketing, web strategy and design. She has an impressive portfolio of work and will be updating the Fun Fur U™ website in her “spare-time.” We already adore her, and we know she’s going to be a long-time, beloved member of our team, too!

SERVICES
What's included in a Pet Care visit?
During the Meet and Greet we will discuss your pet(s) care routine as well as anything around the home we need to be mindful of. Those tasks will be outlined on our Care Sheet checklist and become the roadmap for our time with your pets.
ACADEMICS
Repetition in training is the key to success so our team will work with your pets to continue any training they may have already received. Please let us know of any special commands, tricks, or obedience cues you want us to continue during our visits.
EXERCISE
Our team can play fetch, hide & seek, or simply just take your pups for a walk. During our time with your pets, we’ll do our best to get those bodies moving.
NUTRITION
We want all pets in our care to be fit and healthy. If we feel that your pet is being over-fed (and under exercised), under-fed, or just poorly nourished we may discuss ideas on how to improve their health and suggest a discussion with your veterinarian. High-quality food and a healthy routine are simple to implement and can add many more happy years to your pet’s life!
MEDICATION ADMINISTRATION
Our primary focus for your pets is to ensure they don’t miss a dose of medication, insulin, or other therapies when you’re away. We will keep track of all medication administration with a medication log sheet and notes to ensure you have a complete record of our experience with your beloved pet(s).
TRANSPORTATION
The Fun Fur U™ team can transport your pet to the places they need to be. Please let us know if there is a grooming, veterinarian, or other appointment that you’d like us to handle for you. All pet passengers are to be crated or (seat) belted during transport. Another Peace-of-Mind Pet Care feature at no extra cost!

Frequently Asked Questions

SCHEDULING
If you're an existing client, please try to give at least 7 days’ notice for service. Once we have received your request for service, we will send a confirmation email along with a quote for pet care services. If you make a last-minute request (within 48 hours of service) an extra $10/day fee may be imposed. New clients should allow us at least 2-weeks notice to complete the on-boarding process and get your pets on our schedule.
KEYS
Per our Key Policy, we require two keys or one key plus another method of entry to your home prior to start of service (collected at Meet and Greet). Your keys will be coded and kept in our safe until the next visit to your home. If you need us to make a duplicate copy of your key, we can do so for a $15 charge. Once you determine Fun Fur U™ is the best pet care provider for your family, we will be happy to keep a set of keys in your file so that we’ve got them the next time you’re ready to travel, eliminating the hassle to coordinate a key drop.
CANCELLATION / DROP POLICY
Once your pet care has been scheduled, we ask for a 72-hour written notice for cancellation. Outside of the 72-hour period there is no charge to cancel or drop your reservation. The cancellation fee will be equal to one days’ pet care services. Should you return home early, we will credit your account for any unused pet care visits, minus the cancellation fee.
HOLIDAY SCHEDULE / TERMS
Please book your holiday pet care early to ensure your pets will be added to the busy holiday schedule. Our holiday schedule is noted on the calendar and those dates will incur an additional $10 / day fee.
PET ILLNESS / INJURIES
Should your pet become ill or injured while you’re away we will contact your veterinarian or an emergency veterinarian and transport your pet accordingly. All veterinarian or animal care-giver costs will be due to and payable by you. Fun Fur U™ will charge you for any additional time spent with your pet and any follow-up care will be done so until you have returned home and resume care of your pet(s). If your pet is taking medications, we require all pet medications and supplements be filled/stored in a daily pill sorter type case to help eliminate errors in dosing or administration.
WEATHER / NATURAL DISASTERS
While it is extremely rare that a weather event or natural disaster could be so severe, we would be unable to make it to your home, nothing is impossible. In this case, Fun Fur U™ may credit your account for any missed visit(s). Of course, if you are away from home and being impacted by foul weather or other delays, we will continue to care for your pets until you return home. Any additional visits will be charged at our normal rates, due and payable within 5 days of your return home.
LAST-MINUTE CALLS AND EMERGENCIES
Fun Fur U™ will do our best to accommodate you, should you need a last-minute pet care provider. However, based on our booking schedule, you may be charged an additional fee to accommodate the request.
DISCLAIMERS
Pets can be unpredictable, destructive, and down-right ornery at times. Fun Fur U™ cannot be held responsible for your pets’ unwarranted behavior while you are away. We will, however, do what we can to clean up any messes your pets have made, but Fun Fur U™ cannot be held responsible for damage done to the flooring, furniture or fixtures of your home or yard.Fun Fur U™ reserves the right to terminate our contract/service agreement at any time. If your pet is in danger of hurting himself or others and/or prohibits us from performing our care, we may place your pet in the care of a kennel or other facility, with all charges being due to you.You, the client, are responsible for keeping your pets safe in your home and yard. We recommend that you periodically check all latches on gates, fences, and doors to ensure they are secure. Fun Fur U™ will not be responsible for the safety, liable for the injury or death, disappearance, or legal consequences of an unattended / unsupervised pet.

We strongly recommend you verify references and feedback of any pet care provider so that you can make an informed choice when hiring your pet care team. Fun Fur U™ has been collecting great references and referrals since 2010 so we are happy to pass those along to you upon request.
